The Chinese-German Graduate School (Chinesisch-Deutsches-Hochschulkolleg CDHK) was initiated by the German and Chinese government and is a joint project of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), the Tongji-University Shanghai and the German industry.
The endowed Professorship is financed by the Swiss Kuehne-Foundation and closely cooperates with the Logistics Department of the Berlin University of Technology. The Professorship is limited to five years with perspective on continuation.
The applicant is expected to be an expert in the field of international logistics networks and the management of logistics services so that he or she can successfully contribute to teaching, research and advanced training of executives. Willingness to cooperate internationally, intra and inter the scientific community and between the academic and the practical world is expected.
The Kuehne-Professor will take over teaching obligations as part of the Masters degree in the Business Management and Economy Programme of the CDHK.
The preconditions for employment are:
- a first university degree,
- a doctor degree (PhD) at an internationally recognised university
- proof of scientific qualifications (publications, research etc.)
Applicants with Chinese nationality and knowledge of the German language are preferred. Practical experience in an international environment is required, from activities in industry, trade, logistics services and consultancy or in commercial or other research.
Conditions of employment will be discussed after appointment by the scientific commission of the CDHK and set out in cooperation with the council of Tongji-University.
