The A. B. Freeman School of Business invites applications for a visiting position in Energy Systems and Economics starting in Fall 2008. Rank is negotiable. The candidate should be trained in optimization and simulation models, large-scale statistical analysis, as well as databases, Excel, and VBA. A background in energy economics is desirable. Teaching load is 4 courses and includes undergraduate and graduate courses in excel modeling with an emphasis on statistical analysis, constrained optimization, simulation, and automation through VBA. The successful candidate may also qualify for summer support from one of the ongoing research projects in carbon emissions analysis, alternate fuel economics, refinery systems analysis, and critical infrastructure systems modeling.
