NON-TENURE TRACK TEACHING POSITION IN OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

The Operations and Management Science (OMS) Department at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, invites applicants for a Senior Lecturer position in Operations Management. This annual, renewable, position is a full-time, nine month appointment.

Job responsibilities include teaching, advising, and mentoring operations and supply chain management students and developing corporate contacts for internships at both the undergraduate and MBA levels. The ideal candidate should hold a doctorate degree and have experience teaching in a university or corporate setting and should also have strong teaching capabilities in the operations and supply chain management area, relevant industry experience, and a desire to build and support university-industry connections. We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching interests in one or more of the following areas: introductory operations management, purchasing, supply chain management, technology management, project management, and quality management. The minimum degree required for this position is a Masters degree; doctoral degree is preferred.

The Operations and Management Science Department in the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota is consistently ranked among the top operations departments in the country. We seek to involve full-time operations practitioners directly in the development and implementation of our research and teaching programs. Our strong linkages to the business community are enhanced through active involvement with the Juran Center for Leadership in Quality, the Carlson Consulting Enterprise, the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, and the Medical Industry Leadership Institute (MILI).
