Position Summary: The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking one or more tenure, tenure track, or fixed term faculty positions in the Operations, Technology, and Innovation Management Area starting July 1, 2009 (subject to final approval). Applicants should have strong analytical skills with research interests in fields such as supply chain management, product development, technology management, global operations, service operations, sustainable operations and manufacturing strategy. Applicants with cross-disciplinary research, including those in the marketing-operations and information-operations interface, are encouraged to apply.
Education Requirements: These positions require a doctorate, granted or nearly completed, in operations management, industrial engineering, or operations research, with a demonstrated commitment to applied research.
Qualifications and Experience: Applicants for associate and above rank should have established teaching skills as well as significant research accomplishments. All applicants should be able to contribute to the Area’s teaching mission at the undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral levels in operations management and quantitative analysis. Recognition will be given to candidates who can teach in the global supply chain management concentration.
