The Operations department of Groningen University, The Netherlands, invites applications for two full professors and two tenure-track assistant professors.

Groningen University is founded in 1614 and enjoys an international reputation as a leading research university. Its wide range of degree programs covers the Bachelor, Master, and PhD levels. Research and knowledge, combined with an interdisciplinary approach form the basis of its programs, taught by passionate scholars. The Department of Operations is one of the largest European research groups on operations, with focal areas in Operations Management, Operations Research, and Industrial Engineering. The department has over 25 tenured or tenure-track faculty in addition to several lecturers. Its research publications cover the full range of journals for the field, including IIE Transactions, Journal of Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Science, Decision Sciences, International Journal of Production Research, etc. The department builds on a strong position in international research networks. Staff members are heavily involved in an active PhD Program, and in successful bachelor and master programs in Industrial Engineering, Technology Management, Operations Research, and Business Administration.

Base salaries are in the range of € 3129,- - € 4868,- gross per month for assistant professors, and € 4904,- - € 8622,- gross per month for full professors. In addition, there are a 8% holiday allowance and a 6,4% end of year bonus.. Substantial tax benefits (30% rule for some years) apply to non-Dutch citizens conditional on the permission granted by the Dutch Tax Office.
