WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is a state-accredited, private university located in Vallendar near Koblenz, Germany. The university offers internationally-oriented degrees in business administration (MSc, BSc), a full time MBA program, an Executive MBA program jointly with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Master of Law and Business program (MLB), and company-specific executive development programs.
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the area of Supply Chain Management, specifically in the area of demand and supply risk management, supply chain collaboration, retail operations, real options or operations strategy.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Operations Management / Operations Research or a relevant discipline and possess a record that demonstrates their research potential. Doctoral students close to completing their Ph.D. are also encouraged to apply. Candidates must have strong modeling, analytical and computational skills. Experience with the following areas is an asset: logistics and supply chain management, category management, demand forecasting, risk management, real options modeling, relational contracts and operations strategy deployment.
Commencing Spring / Summer 2009, this position is for one year with the possibility of renewal.
