Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is seeking a head for the Department of Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management (IELM). The Department currently has a strong group of researchers specializing in logistics, supply chain management, design, manufacturing, quality and financial engineering. HKUST is located in the most dynamic hub of Asia and the region is experiencing the highest economic growth rate in the world.
The Department has 15 full time faculty members and is expecting to expand significantly soon. The Department offers bachelor's programs enrolling over 80 undergraduate students each year. We have an active research program of over 50 candidates pursuing MPhil and PhD degrees. In addition, we have over 120 students in executive master's degree programs.
The Department is home to two multi-disciplinary Institutes: Advanced Manufacturing Institute (AMI) and Logistics & Supply Chain Management Institute (LSCMI) where faculty members are involved in basic and applied research.
