Production Manager

Main Functions: Responsible for the daily production output, quality and safety of 2 shift supervisors and 40+ persons.

Key Requirements: Facilitate, plan and prepare needs to meet production and labeling objectives; ensure knowledge of and adherence to corporate, plant policies and union contracts and operations procedures; ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations; drive continuous improvement; ensure facility complies with sanitation; ensure budget requirements are met and work as a liaison between purchasing, sales, marketing and production.

Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of production supervisors in production and labeling; plan all aspects of production; comply, understand and enforce company policies; promote employee motivation; perform housekeeping audits; work with finance to drive continuous improvements; work to reach company’s goals and set yearly goals and objectives.

Education: Bachelors Degree and 5 yrs of management experience in high-speed food manufacturing and packaging environment.

Additional Requirements: Union experience a plus; mechanical engineering a plus; cannery experience a plus; project management skills and excellent oral and written skills required; ability to work various shifts and travel when required; bilingual English and Spanish a plus and knowledge of SPC and other mathematical concepts.
