The Department of Management and Engineering at Linkoping University is seeking applicants for a faculty position as Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Production Economics to begin in Fall 2010. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Production Economics or Finance or other closely related disciplines, demonstrate a strong competence in research and teaching, and be committed to high-quality research.
The Department of Management and Engineering (IEI) has basic education, postgraduate education and research in the technical and philosophical faculty areas. The research group of Production Economics has approximately 15 employees, including one professor and seven lecturers. In total the department has about 400 employees and a turnover of 320 million SEK (35 million Euro). Both education and research are largely multidisciplinary and conducted in close collaboration with other scientific institutions and industry.
Production Economics is responsible for the areas of Finance and Operations Management, and provides courses to the undergraduate and graduate programs in Industrial Engineering and Management and Mechanical Engineering. Production Economics also runs an English-language Master’s program in Manufacturing Management. The research is largely funded from external sources.
