The Information & Operations Management Department in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University is seeking to fill a tenure/tenure track position with an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Supply Chain Management (SCM).
The preferred candidates should have a scholarly interest in the interface of SCM, MIS and industry. The INFO Department is seeking individuals that are actively involved in research and can provide documented teaching effectiveness. The potential to teach at the MBA, EMBA and PhD level is strongly preferred. While teaching responsibility may include a variety of SCM topics, current staffing needs are greater in the areas of enterprise resource planning, business analytics, and decision support systems.
The Department of Information & Operations Management provides programs in two major areas: Management Information Systems (MIS) and Supply Chain Management (SCM). Academic majors and degrees are offered at the Undergraduate, Masters, MBA, and Doctoral Levels.
The Department houses over thirty-two faculty members in SCM, Decision Sciences and Information Systems. The faculty is active in research, prominent in professional associations serving in editorial and leadership positions for national organizations. A key component of the department is the Center for Management of Information, which is sponsored by over 20 major corporations and provides an effective mechanism for faculty and industry collaboration in areas of research, teaching, and curriculum development.
