Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Supply Chain Management

The Department of Logistics, Operations, and Management Information Systems in the College of Business at Iowa State University is inviting applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position in supply chain management starting in August 2010. Appointments at all levels (assistant, associate, and full professor) will be considered. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in logistics, operations management, supply chain management, or a closely related field by August 16, 2010, have a scholarly research record as evidenced by publication (or progress toward publications) in top-tier journals, and have authorization to work in the United States. For consideration to Associate or Full professor, applicants must meet, in addition to the above qualifications, the university standards for appointment to the rank, including publications in premier journals in supply chain management or related fields and demonstrated ability as a successful classroom teacher. Applicants for full professor must also have a strong national and international reputation in scholarship. Preferred qualifications include prior work experience with responsibilities related to logistics, operations management, or supply chain management, and a demonstrated ability to teach a variety of both logistics and operations management classes at undergraduate, Master’s and Ph.D. levels. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

It is located in Ames, Iowa, a community of approximately 52,000 people located 35 miles from Des Moines, the state capital.

The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International and is the third largest college at the University with an enrollment of approximately 3,300 undergraduate and 300 graduate students. The College of Business offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in various disciplines, including Supply Chain Management.
