European Business School (EBS) is the oldest private business school in Germany. EBS delivers undergraduate and graduate education in international management and offers a variety of specialized programmes taught in English. EBS is consistently ranked among the top business schools in Germany and actively cooperates with numerous renowned partner universities around the world. EBS employs 45 full-time and 12 international adjunct faculty and embraces five academic departments. 900 undergraduate and graduate students are currently enrolled at EBS. The school’s Supply Chain Management Institute (SMI) is dedicated to outstanding research and education in Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. SMI consists of more than 50 researchers located in Germany, India, and China.
In the course of its dynamic expansion in the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, EBS’s Supply Chain Management Institute collaborates with Deutsche Bahn (DB) and Russian Railways (RZD). Together with the railway companies and the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg State University SMI will establish the “Center for International Logistics and Supply Chain Management” in St. Petersburg. The Center will be based at the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg State University and consist of 9 researchers and administrative staff in total.
EBS is seeking to appoint a faculty member as
S/he will have strategic responsibility for the center and will be in charge of building and nurturing the academic profile of the center, both in Russia and on an international level. In addition, s/he will be responsible for developing the center’s agenda for research and education.
Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
- Academic excellence, demonstrated through a strong record of publications in international peer-reviewed journals
- Experience in teaching graduate programs in logistics, supply chain management and related fields
- English language proficiency
- Strategic thinking and leadership skills
- Strong and convincing personality
- Outstanding communication skills
