CHAIR IN OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

The Operations and Information Management Group is seeking to appoint a Chair in Operations Management to lead and enhance the group’s research and teaching activities. Applications are welcome from those with a strong research profile in any of the principal Operations Management areas including Operations Strategy, Technology Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Planning and Control, Quality Management, Project Management, Service Operations, International Operations, Sustainable Production / Green Operations and Product / Process Innovation. Candidates with a strong applied focus would be particularly welcome.
Candidates should also have an established international track record of research excellence and leadership, publications in leading journals in the field, attracting external research grants, team building, research training, and sustained quality in teaching.

All members of the Operations and Information Management Group of Aston Business School are research active, with research expertise focused on three broad areas, i.e. Technology and Operations Management (TOM); Management Science, Knowledge Management and Information Systems.

Teaching in Operations Management at Aston is well established at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The teaching load of chair holders is negotiable but the successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the MBA programme.
