The University of Rhode Island’s College of Business Administration is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure track position in the Supply Chain Management area at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank with a start date of either September 2010 or January 2011.

All candidates must have a doctoral degree in business with a concentration in operations and supply chain management, or a closely related discipline, from an AACSB accredited institution or have a clear expectation of completion of the doctoral degree prior to the start date.

The University of Rhode Island values both quality scholarship and teaching; therefore applicants must have the ability to establish a record of both research and teaching excellence. Applicants considered for the Assistant Professor rank must have the ability for a record of teaching excellence and quality scholarship. Applicants considered for the rank of Associate Professor must have demonstrated teaching excellence and quality scholarship as evidenced by a portfolio of research activities including publications in appropriate journals.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have research streams that investigate sustainable supply chain management and teaching experience in operations and supply chain management. Teaching responsibilities would be at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral level.
