*Full-Time Non Tenure-Track Faculty*
The George Mason University, School of Management, Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) area is accepting applications for a nontenure-track Term Assistant or Associate Professor position starting August 2010. This is a full-time teaching position with appropriate benefits. Initial appointment will be for one academic year, with a potential opportunity for renewal. Fall semester classes begin August 30, 2010.
The primary objective in making this hire is to meet our teaching needs in project and program management (PM), particularly at the MBA-level, and the core operations management course. Recent syllabi for the latter may be found at the following location:

The greater Washington, D.C., region is home to over 2,000 technology companies and the federal government is often their largest client, with business being conducted in the form of projects. We thus seek applicants with academic and/or professional experience that will qualify them to teach project and program management to MBA students who are working professionals in this region. Relevant certifications such as PMP and PgMP will be considered additional strengths. We also expect the individual to participate actively in various service activities of the department. The successful candidate will have an advanced (i.e., M.S., Ph.D.) degree in an appropriate field and provide clear evidence of teaching quality. A Ph.D. is preferred but not required.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The normal teaching load for this position is four courses per semester, but lower loads may be considered for candidates with active research portfolios.
Located in Fairfax, VA., just outside Washington D.C., the School of Management and accounting program are accredited by AACSB-International. The School of Management offers undergraduate degrees in business; and MBA, executive MBA and M.S. degrees in accounting and technology management.
