OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT and INFORMATION SYSTEMS

THE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (SEEM) AT THE WILLIAM STATES LEE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHARLOTTE is currently seeking candidates for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the area of systems engineering, systems modeling and optimization who can teach manufacturing related courses (preferably) starting January 2009. Preference will be given to candidates with a stochastic and simulation modeling background. The ideal candidate will (a) have a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field; (b) seek external funding actively and develop a strong research program; (c) demonstrate potential in publishing in top journals; (d) have a strong commitment to teaching excellence; (e) actively contribute to the further development and growth of the SEEM Program; and (f) have the ability and interest to work closely with industry.
