POMS College of Supply Chain Management 2025-26 Doctoral Fellowship

The POMS College of Supply Chain Management (SCM) is excited to launch a doctoral fellowship initiative to encourage doctoral student participation at the Annual POMS Conference (May 7–11, 2026) and the SCM College mini-conference (May 7, 2026). These fellowships are intended to support promising doctoral students, foster stronger engagement within the SCM community, and highlight the contributions of emerging scholars in our field.

1. Fellowship Coverage

Each fellowship will cover:

  • Student-rate registration fee ($115) for the 2026 POMS conference in Reno, NV.
  • Registration fee ($50) for the SCM College mini-conference.

2. Eligibility

  • Applicants must be current doctoral students.
  • Applicants must be current members of the POMS College of SCM, or commit to becoming members upon receiving the fellowship (annual membership fee is $15).
  • Funding is conditional on attending the SCM College mini-conference.

3. Selection Criteria

  • Priority will be given to students who have presented (or scheduled to do so) in the SCM College research webinar series.
  • Additional consideration will be given to demonstrated engagement with the College and alignment of research with SCM.

4. Application Process, Deadline, and Expectations

  • Applicants will complete a short online form providing:
    • Name, affiliation, and program details.
    • Confirmation of College of SCM membership.
    • Statement of interest (max. 250 words) highlighting research focus and motivation to attend the SCM College mini-conference.
  • The application deadline is November 16, 2025.
  • Fellowship recipients are invited to submit a reflection piece on their experience at the SCM College mini-conference. These will be highlighted on the SCM College social media channels, along with the recipient’s name and a short description of their research.

 

5. Selection and Notification

  • A review committee, appointed by the SCM College Board, will evaluate applications.
  • Fellowship recipients will be notified by December 16, 2025.
