2024 POMS College of Service Operations Mini-Conference

Date: Thursday, April 25, 2024, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Minneapolis, MN

Theme: Service Operations in a Sports-Crazed World

Agenda (See attached schedule)

  • Learn
    • 8:30am – 9:30 am    Breakfast: Meet your colleagues for breakfast at the hotel and a brief discussion about the theme of the min-conference.
    • 10:00am – 11:00am   Stadium Tour: Target Center (NBA, Minnesota Timberwolves). We will walk over together from the hotel. If you would like to meet us there, please be there just before 10:00am (600 Hennepin Ave Ste 310, Minneapolis, MN 55403)..
  • Experience 
    • 12:00pm – 3:00pm   Twins Game: Join us for a professional sporting event (MLB, Minnesota Twins). We will walk a few blocks from one stadium to the other. Tickets to the game and lunch at the stadium included with registration.
  • Do 
    • 3:30 – 5:00pm  Play: Why should the pros have all the fun? Join us for mini-golf at Puttery Minneapolis (240 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis MN 55401). Light appetizers included.
    • 6:00pm We will join other colleges for a dinner at the conference hotel.

Participation requires registration for the mini-conference, which can be obtained via the POMS conference website (at the same time or separately at a later time from the registration to the main conference). Registration link: https://pomsmeetings.org/conf-2024/

Prepare to be outside and wear comfortable clothes and shoes as we will walk several blocks between venues.
