2027 HOCM Student Video Competition

HOCM will run again a 3-minute video competition for current and recent PhD students.

This competition is also linked to the annual conference in Orlando (April 22 to 26, 2027). The aims are to (1) disseminate PhD research on HOCM topics to a broad audience, (2) offer a channel to bring ongoing/planned research streams to the attention of HOCM scholars, and (3) recognize practical and scientifically impactful work.

Both current and recent PhD students can contribute, and the video can cover planned, ongoing, or finished research.

The top 3 videos will be featured during the Mini-conference. The winner and runner-up, announced at the business meeting, will each receive a plaque and a monetary prize — $500 for the winner and $250 for the runner-up. See the attachment for more details. We hope many of you will consider submitting or encourage your students to submit.
